On Saturday I had my first birthday party. We all had a lot of fun. My aunties from MA came down to celebrate and Auntie Stephanie's gift arrived during the party so it was almost like she was there too! It started at noon and everyone was pretty tired by 2:30 so all the guests went home for nap time. I got many nice presents and got my first taste of cake.

Mum and I finished the rest of the cake off today. It's amazing how quickly two people can eat half a cake.

I'm 1 year old today!

It's hard to believe that one year ago today I was born. I've been through a lot! It's been a very busy year. Right now I am learning how to walk. Each day I spend more and more time on my feet, but if I have to get somewhere fast I like to crawl. A few of my favorite things are the dogs' water dishes, luv luv (my sleeping friend) and my bath. I weigh about 21 pounds and change and am about 30 inches tall.

Mum put me in this dress this morning to take some photos and I was not too pleased with the whole process. In fact, I pretty much fussed the whole time it was on me and I only smiled when she wasn't looking . I kept telling her that we should try later. Next time perhaps she will respect my authority.

I hope everyone had a very nice Christmas and New Years. I sure did. I had a week of constant attention from Grandmum and Grandpa. They came to visit for a whole week, which turned out to be a good thing because my mum was sick for just about a whole week and I needed someone to play with while dad was at work!

I got many nice gifts for Christmas but really liked the bows and boxes the best.

Clementines are my new favorite fruit.
